Organisational Efficiency & Transition

 

• Encourage and carry out programs for functional change and OE initiatives in business domains.

• Contribution to quarterly and monthly organization reviews

 

• Meet employment, contractor, and FTE Opex targets in business areas.

 

• Ensure that the organization is clear and aligned in the business domains (RACI, role profiles, role titles, etc.).

 

• Assure the data integrity of the business unit’s people-related information.

 

• Promote organizational effectiveness in business domains while guaranteeing adherence to established spans and layers guidelines.

 

• Participate as a tactical sparring partner, discussing the efficiency of the business’s systems, data, people, and processes.

 

• Set the HR agenda for the company and make sure that all people managers have the tools and capabilities necessary to meet the recurring annual people management requirements.

 

Develop, propose, and implement significant functional change initiatives in coordination with the corresponding HR centers of excellence.

 

 Culture Shift

 

• Have a major part in helping leaders embody the mandate for culture, vision, and mission as well as any associated people/HR policies.

 

• Take the lead in implementing cultural change in business and responsibility domains.

 

• To guarantee alignment, challenge and enhance people policies, procedures, and practices.

 

• Encourage and assist business leaders in modifying their attitudes and behaviors to conform to the STEP culture mandate and new methods of operation.

 

• Ascertain that the company’s guidelines for health and safety standards are followed.

Evaluation and Compensation

 

• Make sure underperforming employees in business areas are actively managed.

 

• Collaborate with company executives to promote collective initiative on PD

 

• Ability and Resources

 

• Work together with the talent team to expedite the development of high potential in functional business areas and to provide a pipeline of diverse future leaders.

 

• Offer guidance to rising stars at all levels regarding their performance and prospective ratings.

 

• Provide active assistance to all talent programs.

 

• Encourage business-related Discover Graduate Programme participation.

 

• Encourage the business sectors to adopt a diversity and inclusion agenda.

 

• Plays a significant role in senior resourcing for the business division (in collaboration with colleagues in resourcing). Conduct interviews with agreed-upon key management in business domains.

 

• Contribute to making sure that hiring procedures (such as recruiting, selection, onboarding, etc.) are perfectly in line with business needs.

 

Development of Leadership and Management

 

• Ensure that management development programs are understood to facilitate effective development at crucial junctures in the management and leadership ladder and to encourage the adoption of development initiatives pertinent to BU-specific priorities.

 

• Work with COEs to coach executives from various business areas.

 

Capability of the Organisation

 

• Assist L&D in developing vital functional capabilities that will allow the business areas to meet their goals.

 

• Ensure that the organization’s core onboarding programs are in place, being used effectively and that a functional induction framework is developed and implemented.

Management of Relationships and Partnering

 

• Establish a strong rapport of “support & challenge” with the members of the leadership team.

 

• “Walk the tightrope” between participating in the business domains and upholding an impartial HR viewpoint.

• Serve as a strategic sparring partner by discussing the efficacy of the BU’s systems, procedures, personnel, and data.

 

• Encourage and assist business leaders in aligning their attitudes and behaviors.

 

• Put all “Performance Driven Reward” plans into action in the relevant business domains.

 

• Determine and implement leadership team effectiveness strategies.

 

• Assist L&D in developing vital functional capabilities that will allow the business areas to meet their goals.   

 

Fundamental skills, expertise, and background:

• A bachelor’s degree in business management, industrial psychology, human resources, or personnel management, for example

 

• Five to eight years of relevant experience as a generalist in human resources, along with demonstrated expertise in overseeing a human resources division or section – crucial

 

• Two years of experience working in a corporate setting as an HR professional interacting with senior leadership

 

• Fundamental understanding of change management and/or experience with people organization plans

 

• Being exposed to leadership coaching for changing behavior
